Alan Miknis may be the newest resident in our little blue house (I haven’t fully admitted to myself that I don’t live there anymore), but he’s also one of the coolest! Come to his art opening tonight at The Incline Gallery and see for yourself just how cool he is…seriously guys, I’ve been seeing bits of the show around our Capp St place for months now, it’s amazing!

“Incline Gallery is pleased to present Cyclorama 2, a collaboration and a series of new works by Alan Miknis and Jeff Rahuba. In Georgia, where both artists grew up, Civil War culture is used to encourage the views of children in a patriotic and nationalistic direction. Recapturing the original ‘Cyclorama’, Miknis and Rahuba have created a 30 foot collaborative scroll drawn in the spirit of their own child-like war fantasies. Playing war with paint and ink on a playground of paper, the artist eradicate each other’s ideas but in the end simultaneously constructing a three hundred and sixty degree depiction of the Civil War battle using painted landscapes and dioramas.”
